Linger Eatuaries
Linger is a popular spot with an excellent happy hour. If the weather is nice, the rooftop view is first rate, and you can sip boozy treats while taking in the city view. This place has a unique history as one of Denver’s most famed mortuaries. For a brief period of time, it was even home to Buffalo Bill’s body in 1917. These are fun nods to the building’s roots, but the only thing that is going to die here is your need for good creative food and finely crafted cocktails.
Little Man Ice Cream
If you are feeling like a sweet treat after stopping at Linger, Little Man Ice Cream is just a few steps away. This milk jug shaped shop has been doling out delicious ice cream flavors since 2008. It is a fun place to take a photo to show off your new lashes. Get unique, homemade, and satisfying ice cream at this all-around iconic Denver institution.
El Five
El Five, located on the fourth floor of 2930 Umatilla, is our choice (and many others) for the best view of the city. Drawing culinary inspiration from The Strait of Gibraltar, they offer a melting pot of comforting and lively dishes. Grab a drink, some tapas, and enjoy an unrivaled sunset view.
Avanti
We are obviously fans of a rooftop bar, but who is not? At Avanti, you can enjoy drinks atop a trendy shipping container turned food venue. This is a great spot when making plans with your most indecisive friends. Avanti is a food hall with a wide selection of food, wine, beer, and cocktails. It is a place that has something for everyone.
Teatulia
Whether you are a tea aficionado or not, Teatulia has something for you. Serving sustainably sourced, organic teas from Bangladesh, there are over 39 flavors to choose from. Even if coffee is your beverage of choice they have that covered as well. A short walk up the street from the studio, this is a must for a morning or afternoon pick me up.
Rustic Thread
Rustic Threads is one of our favorite places to shop, where California meets Colorado style. They offer a wide assortment of quality items from jewelry, to shoes, to clothes. If you are looking for that perfect bohemian, boho-chic, Indie, or classic piece, this is the place to find it.
