Lash extensions are not all that we do at Lashology! A great alternative to extensions is a lash lift & tint. This service makes your eyes pop and appear brighter, and is a great way to shave time off of that morning routine. If you are unfamiliar with this lash service, don’t worry, we are excited to share with you what a lash lift and tint is and why you may become obsessed with it.
A lash lift & tint works with your natural lashes darkening them and giving them more curl, allowing you to set aside the eye lash curler and the mascara. Your lashes are attached to a silicone rod, then permed with an eye-safe solution to hold the curl in place and then tinted. Your lashes will appear fuller, longer and more defined. The process takes around 45-60 minutes and can last for up to 6 weeks.
We are often asked by our clients if they are able to wear mascara after receiving this treatment, and the answer is yes! Because we are only treating your natural lashes, you are free to continue using your favorite mascara when you are looking to add additional drama. Do not use waterproof mascara, as it is harder to remove and creates more pulling in the process. The less you have to rub your lashes, the longer before they naturally fall out. You will need to avoid water and steam for the first 24 hours while the solution sets, but after that they are very low maintenance. It is important to condition your lashes at least twice a week with castor oil to keep them healthy!
Beauty and self-care are extremely personal. Everyone gets to curate the beauty routine that makes them feel the most confident. So, if you cannot get lash extensions for one reason or another, or you just like the sound of a lash lift and tint, our advice is to give it a try! You won’t know if it’s for you unless you take the plunge. And if you are in love with the results, we have a feeling you will be, make it a part of your routine.
